Generosity, Acts 10:2 - Written by Marilyn LeFevre

“He was a devout, God-fearing man, as was everyone in his household. He gave generously to the poor and prayed regularly to God.”  Acts 10:2 NLT

Cornelius was a righteous, generous, God-fearing man, who prayed regularly to the one true living God. Cornelius’s relationship with God was pivotal in spreading the gospel to the Gentiles. God sent Peter to share the Gospel with Cornelius, and because of the obedience of these two
men the Good News spread and there was no longer a separation between the Jew and the Gentile.

As you journey through this Lenten season perhaps God is asking you to be His hands and feet, to visit a shut in, to cook a meal, or to send a card. Perhaps God is calling you to share the gospel in your community or beyond the borders of this country. God has given us the privilege of interceding for one another in prayer, God says, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.” 2

1 Ephesians 2:11-18.

2 Psalm 27:8
