Demonstration of Love
Romans 5:8 -
Written by Annika Hantho

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8

God made the ultimate sacrifice knowing that most people would never acknowledge or appreciate it. God had such a deep desire to bridge the gap between himself and his creation that he was willing to send his only son to pay the ugly price for our sins; past, present and future. Despite your sin, God thought that you were worth the sacrifice he would have to make. This Lenten season, take time to remember just how much you are loved and what that means going
forward:

How does God’s sacrifice affect the way that you live your life?

Our relationship with Christ should not be one way. Is there anything we can fully give up in order to grow closer to him? Can we do it without grumbling?

What have you done to show God you love him?

How can we thank God for what he has done for us?

  1. These are good questions that cause me to ponder long. They are also questions that I can and should return to often because as I journey through this life, some of the answers remain unchanged while others are ever-changing. As you have said, "an ugly price for our sins; past, present and future."
